Venous Reflux disease, also known as Venous Insufficiency, is the underlying medical condition that leads to varicose veins.
Veins contain tiny valves that are designed to allow one way flow of blood from the feet back up toward the heart. When these valves malfunction, blood flows backwards, distending the leg veins until they become abnormally engorged.
They are then visible as varicose veins and / or spider veins.
“I started getting spider veins in my 20s and was embarrassed to wear shorts and skirts. And living in Las Vegas, it is too hot to wear pants all the time. Dr. Simon was very professional and was able to get rid of what I had AND stop new veins from appearing. THANK YOU DR. SIMON!!!”
